There will be a choice among three activities on Wednesday 7th September:
A guided tour at the Reggia di Venaria a masterpiece of Baroque just outside Torino. La Venaria Reale is a grandiose estate comprising 80,000 square meters of floor surface and 60 hectares of Gardens, adjacent to the 17th century ancient village of Venaria. It is a natural and architectural masterpiece that was declared part of the World Heritage by UNESCO in 1997.
A guided tour to the historical cellars of Fontanafredda in the heart of the Langhe region. – This is a picturesque tour through majestic nineteenth-century cellars which are considered to be among the finest 100 in the world, and which are still used today for the ageing of the great red wines of the Langhe, of which first and foremost are Barolo. The tour will end with a wine tasting of Barolo wine.
A guided walking tour discovering the centre of Torino and its stunning palaces.
Please, note that the places for each of the events will be limited, so you will be asked to sign for one of the three activities at the time of the registration. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
Welcome party and Conference Banquet
There will be a welcome party on Sunday evening in the courtyard of the Rectorate of the University (Via Giuseppe Verdi, 8, Torino).
The conference dinner will take place on Wednesday evening in the restaurant Il Circolo dei Lettori (Via Giambattista Bogino, 9, Torino).
